Jeremy Peterson, aka the Squeaky Voiced Teen (voiced by Dan Castellaneta) is a fictional character in The Simpsons. His name might be Jeremy because in a deleted scene of the episode "Sweet Seymour Skinner's Baadasssss Song" on the Season 5 DVD, he's called Jeremy by Seymour Skinner. He is a teenager trapped in a long series of dead-end jobs. He is also referred to as "Pimple-faced kid", "Puberty Boy", "Geeky Teenager" and, on one occasion, "Old Man Peterson".

The squeaky-voiced teen has acne vulgaris, and his voice is in the process of breaking. He appeared in the opening sequence of one episode, kissing an attractive blonde girl on the couch. In the introductory sequence of another episode, he appeared as a valet getting the Simpsons' couch for them (although he did not receive a tip). He once attempted to commit suicide because FOX cancelled Futurama.

Andrew Teen, better known as the Squeaky-Voiced Teen, is one of the few teenagers in Springfield and is perpetually trapped in a series of dead-end jobs. He has acne and his voice is always in the process of breaking.

In one episode ("Marge vs. Singles, Seniors, Childless Couples and Teens, and Gays"), he lost his squeaky voice to "become a man," after Lindsey Naegle suggested that the adults "kill every child . . . -friendly thing in town."

He is often seen working in a Krusty Burger and has also worked for the Springfield Grocery Store and one of the town's movie theaters. He was once an employee at the Mom & Pop Hardware store to try and get with "Mom", him being "Pop". He was also employed at Book Returns

Also, Seymour Skinner refers to him as "Jeremy" from a deleted scene on The Complete Fifth Season DVD, which is in episode "(1F18) Sweet Seymour Skinner's Badass Song", in a scene where Skinner and Bart are on a roller coaster and the teen portrays a vampire who has "come to suck your blood". His surname is also hinted at in the episode Lisa vs. Malibu Stacy when Grampa quits his job at Krusty Burger. He refers to the SVT as Mr. Peterson.
+
He was in a managerial position at a shoe store, supervising Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney.

There are a few different Squeaky Voiced Teens, invented usually to suit a certain locale. One was seen, for example in England; fittingly, he had an English accent and got beaten up by Dame Judi Dench off-screen. An Australian version of the Squeaky Voiced Teen was seen at the souvenir store that Lisa, Marge, and Maggie visited when the Simpsons were in Australia in the episode "Bart vs. Australia" where he suggests Bullfrogs should be called 'chazwazzers'. There is also one Krusty Burger restaurant that is entirely staffed by Squeaky Voiced Teens. A character that resembles the looks of the Squeaky-Voiced Teen is briefly seen when the Simpsons enter their hotel in the episode "Blame It On Lisa." In one of the "Treehouse of Horror" Halloween specials, Peter Pan has an identical voice and states he will "never grow up".
+
He has also worked at Gulp 'n' Blow, Lard Lad Donuts, IRS Burger, Shakespeare's Fried Chicken, Eatie Gourmet's Health Food Store, Kidstown USA, Noiseland Arcade, Springfield Barber College, Springfield Air Show, Springfield War Memorial Stadium, Car Wash, Springfield Googolplex Theatres, Springfield Wax Museum, Springfield International Airport, Monty Burns Casino, Springfield Public Access Channel 3 and Clumsy Student Movers.

The Squeaky Voiced Teen is ubiquitous, existing not only in every conceivable locale, but in any historical era. In I Love Lisa, one of Sgt. Skinner's old platoon members was a Squeaky Voiced Teen. Skinner has a flashback, while doing morning announcements over the intercom, of the young man being brutally shot on a flatboat by snipers while writing a valentine for his girlfriend back home. Skinner then repeatedly screams the name "Johnny", and Bart says, "Cool. I broke his brain".
+
For his parking skills at the Springfield Air Show, he received three medals from the USAF.

In the season 7 episode "Team Homer", it is implied that Lunchlady Doris is actually his mother, when he calls her mom and she replies "I have no son."

Personal life
 +
He once tried to commit suicide by jumping off Geezer Rock, because FOX canceled Futurama. He landed in a car in which two teens were making out, crushing one of them. The attractive girl was shocked that he crushed her boyfriend, but then quickly initiated a make-out session with him.

Andrew Teen[1], better known as the Squeaky-Voiced Teen, is one of the few teenagers in Springfield and is perpetually trapped in a series of dead-end jobs. He has acne and his voice is always in the process of breaking.

Biography[edit]

Jobs[edit]

The Squeaky-Voiced Teen as a child.

He is often seen working in a Krusty Burger and has also worked for the Springfield Grocery Store and one of the town's movie theaters. He was once an employee at the Mom & Pop Hardware store to try and get with "Mom", him being "Pop". He was also employed at Book Returns[7]

He was in a managerial position at a shoe store, supervising Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney.

He has also worked at Gulp 'n' Blow, Lard Lad Donuts, IRS Burger, Shakespeare's Fried Chicken, Eatie Gourmet's Health Food Store, Kidstown USA, Noiseland Arcade, Springfield Barber College, Springfield Air Show, Springfield War Memorial Stadium, Car Wash, Springfield Googolplex Theatres, Springfield Wax Museum, Springfield International Airport, Monty Burns Casino, Springfield Public Access Channel 3 and Clumsy Student Movers.

For his parking skills at the Springfield Air Show, he received three medals from the USAF.

Personal life[edit]

He once tried to commit suicide by jumping off Geezer Rock, because FOX canceled Futurama. He landed in a car in which two teens were making out, crushing one of them. The attractive girl was shocked that he crushed her boyfriend, but then quickly initiated a make-out session with him.[8]

He was also in a relationship with Mom, an employee at the Mom & Pop Hardware store.[9]

He also made out with Shauna.[10]

When Lindsey Naegle once suggested they "kill every child... friendly thing in town", he temporarily lost his squeaky voice to "become a man".[11]

Name[edit]

Seymour Skinner referred to the character as "Jeremy" once in a deleted scene,[2] canonically has the name on a nametag,[12] and also is referred by that name by Beatrice in The Simpsons: Tapped Out, [3] When Grampa worked at Krusty Burger, he referred to the teen as Old Man Peterson.[4]. When Jimbo, Dolph and Kearney worked at a shoe store, they refer to him as Mr. Freedman or Mr. Friedman. The Disney+ captions refer to him as "Freedman", while the Simpsons World script refers to him as Friedman.[6] When he worked at The Brown Burrito, his nametag read "Steve".[5] Kirk Van Houten refers to him as "Squeaky-Voice", but he asks Kirk to call him "Mr. Teen".[13] He was referred to as "Andrew" by his parents, and "Mr. Teen" when testifying in court.[1]
