Burger Meister is a Bart Simpson story first printed in Bart Simpson #34.
Homer is mad - once again he has lost against Bart in a video game - so he begins to watch regular TV. He gets stuck watching a commercial for Krusty Burger where Krusty asks viewers to send in recipes for the best burgers, with the winner getting a big prize. Homer goes to Krusty Burger to collect the form for the competition which is really long so Homer lets Lisa read it. Lisa says that he will probably win a Krusty Burger coupon book set to expire and a brief mention in the KrustyCo. Stock Hole Grinders Newsletter, which Homer deems good enough to participate. Homer starts making his own hamburgers and promises Marge he will not mess up the kitchen, though he does. Bart tells Milhouse that Homer has lost his mind because of the contest and when they talk about it, he realizes you only need a recipe and you do not need to make it yourself. Bart decides to enter the competition.
Homer has made a hamburger but Marge does not like the taste so Homer gives up. Marge tells him to not give up and sees then that he has destroyed the kitchen, so he starts cleaning it. While cleaning, Homer makes a new hamburger and this time it's a success, so he posts the recipe. It is time for the winner to be announced live on The Krusty the Clown Show. The winner is drawn from a box and is Bart's banana burger with muenster cheese. Homer is surprised that Bart was in the contest and he told him that he sent in a few hundred recipes, angering Homer who chases him.
