Season 15 is the fifteenth broadcast season of The Simpsons. It originally ran on Fox from November 2, 2003, with "Treehouse of Horror XIV", to May 23, 2004, with "Fraudcast News". The season was mostly made up of production season FABF episodes, with five rollover episodes from production season EABF also airing. Al Jean served as the showrunner for the season.

In "Reaper Madness", Homer becomes the new Grim Reaper after killing the old Reaper. In "Frinkenstein", Professor Frink brings his father back from the dead, who then strives to make himself the ultimate body out of the parts of living people. And finally, in "Stop the World, I Want to Goof Off", Bart and Milhouse get a stopwatch that can stop time and use it to play pranks on the townspeople.

A Christmas film gives Homer a change of heart and he becomes the nicest man in Springfield. But when he takes some advice from Lisa the wrong way, he gets led astray.

To help out, Marge gives the kids verbal anecdotes about historical figures, including tales of King Henry VIII, Sacagawea's assistance to the Lewis and Clark Expedition, and a very Bart-like Mozart feuding with his sister Salieri.

Meanwhile, Bart and Lisa confront the creator of Cosmic Wars over the quality of the new film.

Marge admits to Homer that believing her first kiss had stood her up caused her 30 years of heartbreak.

When Bart accidentally 'moons' the American flag at a school function and Homer says he hates America on national TV, the Simpsons are labeled as unpatriotic and are arrested for high treason. They then embark on a cross-country mission to the nation's capital to prove they love America.

After scathing articles about Mr. Burns are published in newspapers, Burns buys all the media outlets. In response to the propaganda Burns is now pushing, Lisa decides to start her own paper and writes an article about Mr. Burns' manipulation. Furious, Burns attempts to take down Lisa's paper, but she refuses to go quietly.
