[Homer and Marge are in the family room watching a romantic film on television. Snowball II is lying on the floor.]
Marge: Homey, how come you're never romantic the way people on TV are?
Homer: For your information, I just so happen to be a hopeless romantic! Don't you remember the first time we met?
[We flashback to when Homer and Marge unite in a meadow.]
Homer: Marge!
Marge: Homey!
[Homer narrates: "It was love at first sight". Next, Homer and Marge are sitting together. Homer is holding a bouquet of roses.]
Homer: A rose by any other name...would be Marge.
Marge: [sigh]
[Homer narrates: "I knew from the start that we would spend the rest of our lives together. Next, Homer and Marge are at the beach in bathing costumes.]
Homer: [talking into a shell] Why yes, I am here with the prettiest girl in Springfield!
Marge: Hee, hee, hee.
[Homer narrates: "I will cherish those days for the rest of my life!"]

[Back in the living room:]
Marge: Humph! You don't remember what happened the first time we really met, do you?
["1973..." A young Homer and Barney are stood outside a convenience store. A young Marge is walking towards them.]
Homer: Hey, lady, will you buy us some beer?
Marge: I'm the same age as you are! I'm in your class at school?
Homer: Yeah, but you look a lot older!
