Cultural references[edit]
- In Homer's fantasy flashback, he references the line "a rose by any other name would smell as sweet" from the William Shakespeare play Romeo and Juliet with "a rose by any other name...would be Marge."
Goofs[edit]
- Marge's account of when Homer and she first met is incorrect, as they first met in detention in Springfield High School, as recalled in the episode "The Way We Was".
- Also, Marge recalls that in the street in 1973, she exclaimed that she and Homer were the same age. However, they are not. At the time of publication, adult Marge was 34 and adult Homer was 39.
