Itchy the Mouse, Sr. is a cartoon mouse from The Itchy & Scratchy Show. Itchy is depicted as a cruel psychopath whose usual victim is his friend, Scratchy the cat. He almost always succeeds in his attacks against Scratchy, and typically ends up killing him. There is only one known episode where Scratchy wins and Itchy is killed.

Itchy's first in-universe appearance was in the cartoon "Manhattan Madness" under the name "Itchy the Lucky Mouse" in 1919, where Itchy strolls around Manhattan, kills an Irish man and then Teddy Roosevelt. Behind the Laughter[edit]

  • Itchy is a parody of both Jerry Mouse of Tom and Jerry and Herman of Herman and Katnip, the difference being Itchy's sadism is dialed up to the point where he's a psychopathic killer who kills for enjoyment (whereas Herman and Katnip is often considered to be a more violent clone of Tom and Jerry, not even the violence Herman enacts on Katnip is nearly as brutal as the acts committed by Itchy). He also parodies Mickey Mouse in Steamboat Itchy.
