Lisa the Clown is a Simpsons Comics story first printed in Simpsons Comics #226.
Plot[edit]
Bart, Lisa, and Marge are at Krustylu Studios, visiting Krusty backstage. They are welcomed by Krusty's new executive producer, Leslie Lucas. Krusty is not interested in Bart and Lisa. He wants Leslie to heat his burger, but she refuses, so he does it by himself in the microwave. Suddenly, Krusty gets a jolt because he has a pacemaker. Leslie asks Lisa to replace Krusty. Lisa hesitates, but then she tells her that it would be an educational clown show.
Lisa makes her debut and tries to tell educational jokes, but the audience falls asleep. Lisa does not like this, but Leslie tells her that it happens all the time because the program is so old. Krusty is in the hospital and does not like what she had to do with his show. With the help of Sideshow Mel, Lisa writes a script for The Itchy & Scratchy Show, which she believes will be a success. Meanwhile, Sideshow Bob is visiting Krusty in the hospital while Bart is there to make Krusty happy because the executives don't want him back.
Bob tells them that he is not the only one who wants revenge on Krusty. He explains to them about a woman he met in prison therapy whom Krusty was dating, but he never called back. Bart then realizes that Leslie was behind the scheme. He thanks Sideshow Bob for the details and rushes back to Krustylu Studios to save Lisa. Back at Krustylu Studios, Lisa is showing her Itchy & Scratchy cartoon but the audience doesn't like it. Lisa tells Leslie that having an educational clown program is not a good idea, while the police come to arrest her after Bart tells them where she is.
Leslie angrily confesses to Lisa that she wanted to ruin Krusty like he broke her heart. Krusty is soon back again and the Simpson family is watching his show. Lisa tells Marge that it was not a good idea for a second grader to educate TV viewers. Marge tells her that she is proud of what she did, and Lisa tells her that she believes she will be ready for a comeback when she is in the fifth grade.
