Character Information

The unnamed veterinarian flunked out of dental school and now treats the injuries and illnesses of Springfield's pets and other animals including Santa's Little Helper.
History[edit]
He performed an operation on Santa's Little Helper to fix his twisted stomach,[1] and later for a broken hind leg.[2]
He took part in the world's tallest human pyramid record attempt for the Duff Book of World Records.[3]
The veterinarian worked at a location called The Veterinarian. He gave Mr. Hoots a checkup and told Lisa that while his wing was healing nicely, the owl was a jerk, which was probably why he had been injured so much.[4]
The Veterinarian worked at Springfield Pet Hospital, where Lisa went for Career Day. There, he treated the school snake and Cletus' pig, Thelma-Louise.[5]
Behind the Laughter[edit]
The veterinarian's appearance and voice is a take-off of the title character in the Ben Casey TV series played by actor Vince Edwards.[6]
