Homer's Parking Ticket is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000.
Synopsis[edit]
- Chief Wiggum gives Homer a parking ticket, which Homer tries to contest.
Homer gets back to his car late and finds Chief Wiggum giving him a parking ticket. Homer says that he was just about to put another quarter in the parking meter, but Chief Wiggum says that once he starts writing, he can't stop. Homer tries to bribe the Chief with a dollar. Despite his attempts at bribery, Chief Wiggum gives Homer the ticket.
That night, Homer goes to Springfield Law Library to study the law by reading the autobiography of Robert Downey Jr., Not Again! The Robert Downey, Jr. Story. The next day, at the Springfield County Court House, Homer tries to tell the court that Wiggum was drunk while Homer was giving food to orphans. Judge Snyder brings up Homer's tax evasion, and Homer gets arrested and sent to jail for that crime.
