Synopsis[edit]

Homer teaches the reader how to read the Saturday comics.

Plot[edit]

Homer teaches the reader how to read the Saturday comics. He first tells the reader to put on their reading glasses, and then calls the reader "four-eyes." Homer then says that every week, they get huge sacks of mail saying they don't know how to read the Saturday comic strips. Homer screws up one letter and throws it away, calling the sender a bonehead. He then says that reading the comic is easy; just read the words, then go to the next panel. He then admonishes the reader for taking so long to get to the next panel and says the camera angle of this panel is called a medium shot. The next panel has Homer squished against the fourth wall where he says that it's a close-up shot. He then tells the reader that the white spaces between panels are called gutters and usually mean time has passed. He then steals a Duff Beer from the Homer in the next panel. Finally, Homer says that the artist sometimes gets bored and takes liberties with the script. A shark then eats him. Homer pokes his head out of the shark's mouth and tells the reader to watch TV.
