Gil's Ice Cream is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000. It was also available via the Simpsons Store app.
Synopsis[edit]
- Gil tries to convince Homer to buy ice cream from his new truck.
Plot[edit]
Homer is sweating while mowing the lawn when Gil pulls up in Super Gil's Ice-Cream Truck. Gil tells Homer that it looks like he could use a cooldown and offers to sell him ice cream. Homer tells Gil that his truck isn't a real ice cream truck because it doesn't have music, pictures of the products, and he isn't wearing a little hat. Gil tells Homer that some of the particulars are still to come, but he got the truck for cheap and the products he is selling are good. Homer tells Gil that he'll just wait for a real ice cream truck to come along, but Gil doesn't want to lose the sale so he chases after Homer into the house. Several hours later, Homer agrees to buy a rocket lolly and ice cream sandwich, with Gil also throwing in a couple of sherbet sticks, agreeing to put a napkin on his head and let Homer honk the horn a few times. Gil is happy to have a sale, not realizing that the bullies have stolen all the ice cream from the truck.
