Synopsis[edit]
- Homer tells Marge the romantic story of how they first met. However, he takes some creative liberties with it.
Plot[edit]
Homer and Marge are watching a romantic movie when Marge asks Homer why he isn't as romantic as the characters on TV shows and movies are. Homer tells Marge that he happens to be a hopeless romantic and reminisces about the first time they met - in a meadow. He recalls that it was love at first sight and that he knew from the start they would spend the rest of their lives together. He tells Marge that he will cherish those days forever. Marge is unimpressed because the first time they actually met was outside a store, as she recalls, in 1973, when a young Homer, with his friend Barney, asks a young Marge to buy them a beer. Young Marge tells young Homer that they're in the same class and that they're the same age. Young Homer mentions that she looks older, and young Marge groans.
