Smithers Gets Burns a New Spoon is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000.
Synopsis[edit]
Plot[edit]
Mr. Burns tries to crack his egg with a spoon, but is unsuccessful. He tells Smithers that the spoon is as weak as a baby and he wants a fresh one made at once. Smithers decides to make Burns a spoon from the lightest yet strongest metal alloy available and steals Captain McCallister's new titanium foot. Smithers then gets a nineteenth-century orphan to mold the spoon from the titanium. He then has a Swiss artist finish the spoon so that Burns' reflection would be more forgiving.
