[[Marge]] is making a jumper for [[Maggie]] which was supposed to look like the American flag, but since the fabric store was out of blue and white yarn, she had to improvise. This new jumper ends up looking like the flag of [[China]] instead. Meanwhile, [[Homer]] tests out the grill hat that he invented. While he tests it, he goes under the American flag on the flagpole outside the house, which starts to burn. Homer then gets an angry mob after him, so Marge runs and puts out the fire with Maggie's jumper, which starts to burn instead. The mob are happy that she saved the American flag while burning the Chinese flag. Homer says he learned a valuable lesson, and Marge asks if he learned not to play with fire. Homer denies learning that and instead says that he learned that the Chinese flag tastes just like cheese on a burger.
