When Homer failed to understand that Krusty the Clown was Jewish, Lisa explained that there were many Jewish entertainers, including Lauren Bacall, Dinah Shore, William Shatner, and Mel Brooks.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
In real life Shore died on February 24, 1994 of ovarian cancer.
