Thelonious Monk was an American jazz pianist and composer.
History[edit]
Thelonious Monk's picture was on a captcha screen for bebop jazz musicians on the Wayz website. It was one of the pictures that Lisa clicked.[1]
The first recording of Bleeding Gums Murphy was when he played with Thelonious Monk at the Minton's Playhouse.[2]

When Joe Quimby asked Lisa to help him with the crime, dogs and traffic problem in Springfield she called the Jazz Squad for help her. One of the member of the Jazz Squad is Thelonious Monk. Thelonious Monk makes the city's dogs to be nice by letting them listen to he playing his music.[3]
