Peanuts Tribute is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000.

Synopsis

Homer has a really strong craving for Peanuts. However, Moe has stopped serving them.

Plot

Homer tells Marge that he is going to Moe's. As he leaves the house, Santa's Little Helper is dancing. Outside, Nelson pulls a football away from Bart, Lisa is at a small booth offering blues for 50¢, and Milhouse is stuck in a tree. He also passes by Snowball II in a tree, with Ralph under it. On his journey to Moe's, Homer realizes that he has a craving for peanuts. However, when he gets to Moe's, he finds that Moe's peanut bowl is empty. Moe tells Homer that he's phasing out the peanuts, as every nut in the belly means much less room for beer. Homer gets upset because it means no more fresh, tasty peanuts ever. Moe, feeling bad for Homer, tells him that there's a few left in the jar and gives them to him. Moe tells Homer that this is the last of the fresh, tasty peanuts that there will ever be, so he better savor them. However, Homer gulps them all down. Barney then comes in and tells Moe that he also has a craving for peanuts, which leads Moe to exclaim "good grief!"

On the final panel is a notice saying "Matt Groening and the entire staff of Bongo Comics would like to thank Charles Schulz for fifty years of gut-busting, tear-jerking, awe-inspiring entertainment. Way to go, Sparky!"
