Scottish Fighting is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2001.
Synopsis
- Lisa introduces Willie to Katie, a Scottish woman she met at the library. However, they realize that the two of them are from rival clans.
Plot
At school, Lisa runs up to Groundskeeper Willie and tells him she met a nice lady at the library and told her about him, and she wants to meet him. Willie tells Lisa that he doesn't have the time for such foolishness but begrudgingly lets Lisa talk him into it, getting all dressed up in his kilt to meet her. Willie tells Lisa that he's not good with women, but Lisa says that she's perfect for him. Katie then arrives at the meeting, and both she and Willie are shocked because Katie is wearing the colors of the MacLoughlan clan, and Willie is wearing the colors of the Tullabardines clan, who are both rival Scottish clans. The two of them then start fighting, with Lisa trying to break it up. Katie tells Willie that he's won this round, but she'll be back with proper sporran-kicking boots. After Katie leaves, Lisa apologizes to Willie, saying she didn't know she was from a rival clan. Willie tells Lisa not to apologize because that was the best date he's ever been on.
