A Day at the Springfield Petting Zoo is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2001.
Synopsis[edit]
- Homer takes Bart and Lisa to the Springfield Petting Zoo where they find that they're not allowed to touch the animals.
Plot[edit]
At home, Marge reminds Homer that he said he'd take the kids to the Springfield Petting Zoo. Homer says he only took them to the petting zoo last week, but Marge tells him he took the kids to the pet store at the Mall while he went to the liquor store, which Homer remembers doing.
At the Springfield Petting Zoo, they find that they're not allowed to touch the animals. Lisa says that too much contact with people would traumatize the animals. Homer asks when the people in charge would give them what customers want, and Bart suggests a poking and teasing zoo. Bart then imagines a wrestling zoo, while Homer imagines a tasting zoo. Lisa tells Homer and Bart that they had better leave because they traumatized the animals, despite not touching any of them.
