Phony McRing-Ring is the mascot for the phone company in a movie put out by the Springfield phone company and Lindsay Naegle to explain why Springfield now has two area codes.

The film in which Phony stars is rather cheap: at one point, his nasal voice is replaced by a clearly different male voice, while the frame freezes.
