Krusty the Kent is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2000.
Synopsis[edit]
- Krusty takes over for Kent Brockman on Channel 6 News.
Plot[edit]
After filming an episode of The Krusty the Clown Show, Sideshow Mel tells Krusty that Kent Brockman is stuck in traffic. Krusty says that he has been waiting for Brockman to screw up and takes over presenting Channel 6 News. Krusty starts off by acting like a typical news reporter before he becomes hyper and starts making jokes about the tornado hitting Springfield. Krusty continues making jokes, despite nobody laughing. After the news broadcast, Krusty is fired by one of the producers.
Sideshow Mel then tells Krusty that Scott Hamilton has sprained his ankle and won't be able to perform Hamlet on Ice. Krusty says that he's been waiting for Hamilton to screw up.
