Larry H. Lawyer, Jr. is a personal injury lawyer in Springfield.

History[edit]

Larry H. Lawyer, Jr. was the lawyer that Homer used to sue the First Church of Springfield after falling into a hole and breaking his leg. Homer was his first client that had actually been injured and, according to his book, The Law, that's a big plus. Dr. Nick Riviera was also a client of Larry's. Larry had apparently gotten him $60,000 even though Dr. Nick was driving drunk through a graveyard.[1]

At some point, Larry H. Lawyer, Jr. became Krusty's lawyer. After The Itchy & Scratchy Show became public domain, he told Krusty that The Krusty the Clown Show would become public domain too unless he did something new with it. He also showed Krusty examples of properties that became public domain, including Babar-ian: Je n'oublierai jamais, Popeye the Stoner Man's Dispensary, and Skinny the Pooh GLP-1 Weight Loss Pills. Krusty decided to make Krusty Babies! to stop his show from becoming public domain.[2]

Larry H. Lawyer helped Bart sue a comic book company over a coupon in an old comic book. The coupon promised a free comic book, but when Bart sent it in, he got only an insulting letter in return. On reading the letter, Bart said (out loud) that he was so mad he could sue. Larry happened to be driving by, overheard Bart, and offered his services.[3]

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Larry H. Lawyer, Jr. is loosely based on Larry H. Parker (1948–2024), a personal injury lawyer in Los Angeles, California whose frequently TV commercials and many billboards used his slogan "We'll Fight For You!"[4]

Larry H. lawyer's license plate is LV-426 same as the planet the first two Alien films are set in.[3]
