Comic Story information
|
Sing a Song of Squishee is a The Simpsons Comic Strips story that was first published in 2001. It is part of the A Mother Marge Tale series of comic strips.
Synopsis[edit]
- In this Mother Marge Tale, Apu sings a parody of "Sing a Song of Sixpence" to advertise the Kwik-E-Mart.
Plot[edit]
Apu is in the streets of Springfield singing while trying to get everyone else involved in the song. He sings about the hot dogs that he sells that are now mad cow disease-free. He also sings about the coffee they sell, which is high in acid and powerful caffeine. Apu finishes the song by claiming that the hot dogs and coffee are endorsed by actor Steve McQueen. Marge points out that Steve McQueen is dead, and Apu points out that he was only mentioned because of poetic license as his name rhymed. Homer is sad because he wanted to meet Steve McQueen.
