Synopsis[edit]
- Waylon Smithers reads a guide book to learn how to be a better assistant to Mr. Burns.
Plot[edit]
After Smithers breaks Mr. Burns' last vial of oil of vitriol, Burns threatens to fire Smithers if he displeases him again. Smithers goes back to his office, where he finds his copy of Sycophancy for Dummies and reads it to learn how to be a better assistant to Mr. Burns. Meanwhile, Burns starts looking for a new assistant. Smithers realizes that, according to the book, he's been doing everything right. He then goes to Moe's Tavern for a glass of sherry, thinking that hanging out with the local drunks may give him some wisdom he's overlooking.
