Munchie is one of Homer's hippie friends. He is a co-owner of the Groovy Grove Juice Corporation (along with Seth) and was a friend of Mona Simpson in the 1960s.
History
Between Seth and Munchie, Munchie was the more laid-back of the two, and also more spontaneous, as he was the first one to go along with Homer's idea to go to town to freak out squares.[1]
When Mona Simpson died, he and Seth were present at the funeral home, with noticeably grayer hair.[2]
He and Seth also attended Lisa's town meeting about Lake Springfield.[3]
He was at Krusty Burger in a line to buy the Mother Nature Burger.[4]
Munchie and Seth attended a Sungazer concert.[5]
Seth and Munchie ran an Organic Vegetable Patch, which Gil Gunderson worked for as an advertising mascot. After they caught Gil stealing vegetables from them, they fired him. Lisa, who wanted vegetables after they were banned in the house, decided to take over as their mascot.[6]
He was an active member of the Springfield Democratic Party.[7]
Behind the Laughter
Munchie's name is also a slang for a craving for food as a result of cannabis consumption.
