The Commandant is the director of Upward Bound, a behavior modification facility in Oregon.
History[edit]
After Bart had behaved badly, Homer took him to Upward Bound, and The Commandant told Bart to kiss his childhood goodbye. At first, Homer mistook him for a colonel, but he wasn't. When Homer went back to get Bart again, the Commandant told Homer that he would've been called anyway about Bart's stay because his credit card had been rejected. Hoping to avoid paying for the few hours Bart had spent at Upward Bound, Homer made a break for it, throwing another credit card at the Commandant as he left.
