The Parson was a friend of Timothy Lovejoy, Jr.. He told Lovejoy that he remembered Helen Lovejoy, Timothy's wife, being Harold, when they were kids.Ned Flanders is a big fan the parson.
Behind the Laughter
The Parson resembles Bing Crosby's character Father O'Malley from the film Going My Way.
