The blue-haired lawyer is Springfield's most prominent lawyer known for his pasty face, blue hair, and nasal New York accent.
Work
He is one of Mr. Burns' lawyers. Many times, he has shown up when the Simpsons are in court (usually on the opponent's side) and quite often makes good points and wins over the judge.
His most prominent client is Mr. Burns, but he has worked for Fat Tony,[1][2] Snake Jailbird,[3] Gil Gunderson,[4] Timothy Lovejoy,[5][6] Goose Gladwell,[7] Disneyland,[8] the Sea Captain and the Frying Dutchman,[9] Sideshow Bob,[10] Krusty the Clown[11] and Roger Meyers, Jr. and the Itchy & Scratchy Studios,[12][13][14] the Duff Corporation,[15][16] Movementarians,[17] Bart Simpson,[18] Marge Simpson,[19] Jay G,[20] and the estates of Charlie Chaplin and Jimmy Durante.[21]
Due to his broad range of clients, many of whom have clashing interests, it is likely that he does not hold any loyalties to any particular client. He possibly takes up work in contrast to his own values as he's depicted next to Mayor Quimby in an episode, implying he's his attorney despite being part of the Springfield Republican Party.[22]
While he's mainly seen as a defender in the show, there are occasions where he appears as a prosecutor or district attorney.[23][24][25] In one instance he is depicted as a part-time field agent for the Springfield Department of Commerce[26], showing he does partake in other jobs aside from his career as a lawyer. The one other occasion in the show of him having a different job is when he’s one of Burns' many financial advisors[27] but this does not come up again.
Love Life
Blue-haired lawyer's love life is virtually non-existent, though he was once seen on a date with fellow Republican Lindsey Naegle [28] as well as a date with Cookie Kwan (deleted scene).[29]
Politics
He is a member of the Springfield Republican Party.[30]

Behind the Laughter
- The blue-haired lawyer's voice was inspired by American attorney Roy Cohn.[31] Jim Reardon has said the character design was based on actor Charles Lane.
