Evergreen Terrace

Evergreen Terrace is the street that the Simpsons live on. It is unclear why it is called "terrace", when the houses are in fact detached. The Simpsons usually are mentioned as residing at number 742. Therefore, the Flanders live next door at number 744. Evergreen Terrace also has its own exit off the highway.^[1]

The residents seem to hate the Simpsons with a passion, moving away themselves when they heard the Simpsons were not being forced to move.

History

Evergreen Terrace was the location of a neighborhood rummage sale organized by local residents, who gathered to sell unwanted household items and belongings. The street gained further attention when former U.S. President George H. W. Bush and his wife, Barbara Bush, moved into the house across from the Simpson family. Their arrival brought a former national leader into the community and led to a conflict between George Bush and Homer Simpson, eventually causing the Bush family to leave the neighborhood. After their departure, the house was later occupied by former President Gerald Ford.^[2]

After Springfield was transformed into a creepy city full of witches, ghosts and zombies everywhere. All of the buildings and houses have been transformed into Halloween places, with pumpkins at the entrances and on the streets was the name chanced to "Evergreen Terror".^[34]
