Synopsis[edit]

Homer uses his newfound power to turn Professor Frink into a humanoid banana. A week later, the people of Springfield Island have had enough of Homer's antics.

Plot[edit]

Professor Frink explains to Homer that the shard he has is loaded with zero point energy, the most dangerous force in the omniverse, next to love. He asks Homer to let him study the shard for the sake of science, and the fame, money, and Nobel prizes. Homer tells Frink that he'll let him study it in good time, but he must first finish making Springfield into a paradise. Homer points out a donut-shaped cloud in the sky, then turns it into a giant donut, which falls on Homer and Frink. Frink decides that Homer can keep the shard but laments that he will have nothing to show the Nobel prize committee. Homer then zaps Frink with the remote, turning him into Peelfessor Frink, a humanoid banana scientist.

A week later, giant food covers Springfield Island, and the townspeople have had enough of Homer's antics. The people decide to get rid of their so-called savior. Meanwhile, Homer is at the Power Plant, where he has decided to get rid of the zero point shard. He takes it to the nuclear core and throws it into the core. It flares up, and Homer sits in a seat in the room to relax. He notices a half-eaten candy bar on the edge of the core and goes to grab it but falls into the core. Pink smoke erupts from the cooling towers, and an army of Homer clones start walking into town.
