History

The Grateful Dead's album "Long Strange Trip To Shelbyville" was used by the Eco-friendly Activists during Homer's beer detox, which he listened to for three days.

When Homer found the free trampoline ad in the Springfield Shopper, one of the other items being given away was Grateful Dead tickets for a concert in Capitol City.

An advertisement for free tickets for a concert in Capitol City was published in the newspaper.

On Smartline, Kent Brockman reported that since the country was at peace and The Grateful Dead were no longer touring, hippies had become bored.
