- The episode title is a reference to the film The Fast and the Furious.
- Wuhu is a parody of Hulu.
- Lisa says the road being "old-stained Fury Road", referencing the film Mad Max: Fury Road.
- The hobo philharmonic plays Beethoven's "Symphony No. 5".
- Aubrey Medical Plaza is a reference to actress Aubrey Plaza.
- Dr. Dorothea Chaplet is named for (and designed after) the companion of the First Doctor, Dorothea "Dodo" Chaplet, from Doctor Who.[1]
