- The episode title is a reference to the 1992 sports movie A League of Their Own.
- The plot is a parody of the Major League Baseball gambling scandals, especially the one involving Ippei Mizuhara, Shohei Ohtani's interpreter.
- The "Charge" fanfare by Tommy Walker is heard at the Isotope Stadium.
- The Springfield Isotopes play against the New York Yankees.
- The Take It Out to the Ball Game Self Storage units are a reference to the song "Take Me Out to the Ball Game" by Edward Meeker.
