Lenore is a character in Edgar Allan Poe's "The Raven".

In "The Raven", her husband (the poem's narrator) went insane, partially due to grief over her death. When Homer heard Lisa reading "The Raven", he imagined himself as the narrator and Marge as Lenore.[1]
