History
Homer walked on stage in the middle of a U2 concert, because he wanted to tell the hip people of Springfield, why he would be a good sanitation commissioner. They sang part of "The Garbage Man".[1]
They later started a moving company called U2 Moving Crew that was advertised on a billboard in Dunkilderry, Ireland. Their slogan is "We move in mysterious ways".[2]
A clip of U2 on stage was seen.[3]
Lisa called the St. Patrick's Day parade marshal, Paddy O' Lantern, a grotesque insult to the nation that gave us U2.[4]
In "...Six Degrees of Homer Simpson ...sort of!" Homer connected U2 to Marcel. He did this through:
- "I spoke at a U2 concert when I ran for the office of Springfield Sanitation Commissioner."
- "U2 is from Ireland."
- "Ireland is famous for exporting Lucky Charms cereal..."
- "...which are hoarderd by a leprechaun, similar to the one from Leprechaun: The Movie"
- "Leprechaun: The Movie starred Jennifer Aniston."
- "Jennifer Aniston co-starred in Friends with Marcel the monkey."[5]
