Amelia Earhart was an American aviation pioneer. Dubbed by the press Lady Lindy (a derivative of "Lucky Lindy") because of her resemblance to Charles Lindbergh, she went missing while attempting to become the first woman to fly around the world.

History[edit]

When the Simpson family slept at the Springfield Homeless Shelter, Homer Simpson talked about a crazy man who believed in Charles Lindbergh, and he said that something he saw was probably the best thing he had ever seen, although the idea was stolen from Amelia Earhart.[1]

A picture of Amelia Earhart was on a wall of pictures of left-handed people titled "Left is Right."[2]

A picture of Amelia Earhart was shown among many other women during the song "Girl-cott" by Kneesock Dolls.[3]
