Character Information
|
Etta Pryor is a jazz musician.
History[edit]
Etta Pryor was at The Jazz Hole when Lisa and Monk Murphy went there. When Lisa was showing Monk the memorial wall, she thought that Etta had died, but Etta was just leaning against a picture frame on the wall. She told Monk that Bleeding Gums Murphy used to bring him to The Jazz Hole when Monk was a baby. She also wrote songs about Monk, including "Please Change the Baby's Diaper", "That Baby Spit Up on My Good Dress", and "Who Brings a Baby to a Jazz Club?" She and Count Buddy then performed "Bleeding Gums Scat" together.
In Lisa's dream, Etta Pryor was the lead singer for the song "Happy Talk".
