Frankie Adonis starred in multiple surfing films, including Beach Blanket Boondoggle. However, Frankie didn't want to go out on the waves as his hair would get wet. The director hired Abraham Simpson to be his surfing stunt double instead, with a picture of Frankie taped to his face.
