Grand Funk Railroad is an American blues rock band.

When Homer had a carpool with the kids, and Nelson and Milhouse to the school, he started to listen to Grand Funk Railroad. Milhouse told him to change the music, Homer then found out that they didn't know the band Grand Funk, with the wild, shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner and the bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher, and the competent drum work of Don Brewer. When they came to the school, he told the kids that for more information on Grand Funk, consult your school library.[1]
When Homer entered Moe's and found rock music playing, he said that it was like the ghost of Grand Funk Railroad had risen to show them how to rock again.[2]
