Grand Funk Railroad is an American blues rock band.
History
When Homer had a carpool with the kids, and Nelson and Milhouse to the school, he started listening to Grand Funk Railroad. Milhouse told him to change the music, and Homer then found out that they didn't know the band Grand Funk, with the wild, shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner and the bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher, and the competent drum work of Don Brewer. When they came to the school, he told the kids that for more information on Grand Funk, consult your school library.[1]
When Homer enters Moe's and finds rock music playing, he says that it's like the ghost of Grand Funk Railroad has risen to show them how to rock again.[2]
