Dr. Foster is Ned Flanders' childhood psychologist with whom he underwent anger management therapy so as never to lose his temper. Flanders once snapped, letting out all his anger, resulting in a reunion between Foster and Flanders.

He helped Ned with his mental problems when he went berserk at his friends.[1]
Dr. Foster apparently got Botox work done and began wearing a toupee. He led the search for Marge Simpson when she went missing after being declared insane.[2]
Dr. Foster oversaw the sessions at the John Ford Center for Alcoholic Cowboys, which Buck McCoy attended.[3]
