The following is a list of dedicated episodes of The Simpsons. These episodes include on-screen dedications to deceased guest stars, cast and crew members, and their family members.

Many of the dedications are not included in the DVD releases or streaming platforms and appear only in the original television broadcasts. Additionally, some dedications to individuals who passed away after an episode originally aired have been added in later reruns.

Notes[edit]

  1. The re-airing of the episode on December 23, 2018 featured a dedication to Penny Marshall.
  2. On a rerun on June 28, 2009, the episode's couch gag was replaced by "Do the Bartman", written by Michael Jackson, and at the end of it a dedicated card with a picture of Leon Kompowsky is seen.
  3. In his dedicated card, Huell Howser is called "Friend of The Simpsons and Friend of California", highlighting his legacy and affection towards the state.
  4. Robert Reno's sisters donated they participation fees to the Innocence Project, a nonprofit legal organization that works to exonerate the wrongly convicted through DNA testing.
  5. The episode's chalkboard gag, "We'll really miss you Mrs. K", also honors Marcia.
  6. Dedication seen on a rerun on August 30, 2015.
  7. This dedication was done regarding Vin Scully's retirement on October 2, 2016, not his death. Vin Scully died on August 2, 2022, almost six years after his retirement.
