Tumi is a student in the second grade at Springfield Elementary School.
History
When Lisa had nobody to dance with for the square dancing routine as part of the school curriculum for gym, she was initally paired by Coach Krupt with Groundskeeper Willie. However, Tumi decided to dance with her. Lisa then stated that she was from the other second grade and that they only came together for tornado drills. After the period finished, Tumi asked Lisa if she'd like to got to go to All Sales Vinyl, a vintage record store in Downtown Springfield, which Lisa agreed to. When Bart rode his skateboard down the sidewalk, he stated to himself that he thought nobody liked jazz music that much. Later on, the two listened to NPR in Lisa's room and also drank veggie smoothies.
Bart's suspicion grew watching these events unfold and followed Tumi around to watch her activities. After school, Tumi went to Krusty Burger's playground where Bart photographed her. Bart later gave Lisa a manila envelope containing several pictures for the price of five dollars. Lisa pays up and looks at the pictures to discover that Tumi was being paid by Marge to be friends with Lisa. Afterwards, at school, Lisa and Tumi sat on the swings and revealed that she was only going to be her friend until she could afford a nice belt but ended up liking her. She also told Lisa that she was not a vegetarian, before asking if she ever tried horse meat, and that they eat it raw in Japan. Listening to this, Lisa ran away from Tumi.
