Cultural references
- The episode title is a reference to the Last Man Standing challenge and the TV series Last Man Standing.
- In the couch gag, Homer says "this guy must be a pinball wizard," referencing the song "Pinball Wizard" by The Who.
- Lenny asks if a woman named Diane worked at Moe's Tavern, but got replaced by a woman named Rebecca. This is a reference to Diane Chambers and Rebecca Howe from Cheers.
- Othinquic is a parody of Ozempic. Luigi uses the name Ozempic.
- Barney starts dancing the Can-can while vocalizing to "Infernal Galop" from Orpheus in the Underworld by Jacques Offenbach.
- Carl mentions the medication Viagra, which was originally created as a treatment for angina, but had the side effect of treating erectile dysfunction.
