Dr. Wolfe is the dentist who owns a clinic called "Painless Dentistry".

History

He informed Marge that Lisa needed braces, at exactly the same time that Mr. Burns revoked Homer's dental plan. Unable to pay for good braces, Dr. Wolfe gave Lisa a set that "predated stainless steel." In the end, Homer got the dental plan back, and Lisa got a new set of invisible braces.

Later, it was discovered he was, in fact, a rogue periodontist, ultimately requiring Lisa to have braces again.

Behind the Laughter

Anthony Perkins had agreed to voice Dr. Wolfe, but fell ill and could not record the part. Clint Eastwood and Anthony Hopkins had also been asked to provide a voice, but both declined.
