Dean Gary Michaels is the dean at Friedrich University in Zenith City.

History

Dean Michaels was showing high school students around Friedrich University when a streaker ran across the campus grounds. When Rod Runtledge tried to make him feel better, the university was attacked by a group called The Undergrounders, who kidnapped Rod. Dean Michaels and the students chased after them but The Undergrounders escaped into the sewers.
