Season 29 is the twenty-ninth broadcast season of The Simpsons. It originally ran on Fox from October 1, 2017, with "The Serfsons", to May 20, 2018, with "Flanders' Ladder". The season was mostly made up of production season XABF episodes, with seven rollover episodes from production season WABF also airing. Al Jean served as the showrunner for most of the season, with Matt Selman serving as the showrunner for WABF17, WABF22, XABF05, and XABF10.
