Season 18 is the eighteenth broadcast season of The Simpsons. It originally ran on Fox from September 10, 2006, with "The Mook, the Chef, the Wife and Her Homer", to May 20th, 2007, with "You Kent Always Say What You Want". The season was mostly made up of production season JABF episodes, with seven rollover episodes from production season HABF also airing. Al Jean served as the showrunner for the season.

Meanwhile, Bart and Principal Skinner feud when they find out each other's allergies.

In "The Day the Earth Looked Stupid," the residents of early-1930s Springfield refuse to believe news of an actual alien invasion after being duped by Orson Welles' The War of the Worlds radio broadcast.
