After Lisa stole the Teacher's Edition schoolbooks, he tries to entertain his students by talking about the '60s.[3] When Homer was accused of harassment, he is among the crowd that follows him for a whole day.[4] The hippie teacher went to an "emergency caucus" that the teachers union called.[5] He was part of the teachers' strike that Mrs. Krabappel organized.[1]
He was among the Springfield Elementary School staff members present when Principal Seymour Skinner announced that the school had lost access to its oil revenue due to Mr. Burns' slant-drilling operation.[6][7]
