Homer said aloud while he looked through a View-Master, "Ooh, a {ap|Gingerbread House|Treehouse of Horror XI|gingerbeard house}}. Hansel and Gretel are set for life." <and "Boy, that Hansel sure can eat." [1]
Marge read the Hansel & Gretel story in Beloved Children's Stories to Maggie[2] and in a flashback four years earlier Homer read the bedtime story with Hansel on the book cover.[3] Maggie enjoyed the scary parts while a younger Lisa was scared by them.
